Nimrod Lake

Nimrod Lake is a man-made reservoir located in the northern part of Perry County, Arkansas, United States. The lake covers an area of 3,550 acres and is situated within the Ozark National Forest. It was created in 1942 by the United States Army Corps of Engineers by building a dam on the Fourche La Fave River. The lake provides recreational opportunities for fishing, boating, swimming, and camping. The lake is also a popular spot for birdwatching, with over 200 different species of birds being observed in the area. The lake is named after Nimrod, a biblical figure known for his hunting prowess.
